Frankfurt am Main is most known for being Germany's primary financial hub. It is home to more than 400 banking institutions, has the fourth-largest stock exchange in the world, and over 40 visually impressive skyscrapers. Generally, tourists are focused on exploring Germany's quintessential villages, making the bustling city of Frankfurt vastly underrated. However, I genuinely believe it is worthy of being on every European traveler's bucket list. It is a metropolis. So, with that undoubtedly comes the advantage of more restaurant variety, easily found accommodations and wonderfully designed urban green spaces to explore. Also, there is plenty of traditional European charm throughout the city that is waiting to be discovered. Follow the comprehensive guide below for my insider advice on exploring this incredible city!
WHERE TO STAY- The Ruby Louise Hotel is my top choice for affordable accommodation. The amazing rainfall shower that is featured in each room is enough enticement all on its own. However, the luxurious boutique hotel also offers a rooftop terrace, 24-hour elegant bar, ultra-cozy rooms and large comfy beds. Also, it is conveniently located in Frankfurt's upscale fashion area, with the Altstadt (Old Town), and the business district just a brief stroll (or bird ride) away.

WHERE TO PARK- P+R Hous Borsigallee is an affordable option conveniently located fifteen minutes outside of the city center. It is a covered parking area, costing 1,50 euro per day. The tram station is directly in front of the lot, and it is a pleasant ride into the city center (Hauptwache Station if staying at The Ruby Louise). As a possible alternative, there are numerous parking garages within the city. They can cost upwards of twenty euros per day. Parkhouse Junghofstraße, an underground car park, is the nearest option to The Ruby Louise Hotel.
WHERE TO EAT- Frankfurt is full of delicious food choices, with unlimited international varieties! I tried sampling as many of them as possible during my weekend stay. These are the restaurants that can't be missed:
Sunny-Side Up- Did someone mention pancakes?! Don't let the healthy, vegetarian mantra of this adorable breakfast and lunch eatery fool you. The food is absolutely delicious! They serve flavorful dishes, many of which are vegan-friendly and gluten-free. Enjoy a cold-pressed juice or one of their coffee specialties with your nutritious meal.

Naïv- A full restaurant, take-out pizza cafe, and bottle shop all operate under the Naïv name. They are located adjacent to each other. The gourmet pizza is Neapolitan style and so tasty! The bottle shop carries a wide rotating selection of craft brews to choose from. I LOVE a fruity sour beer. This unique type of beer has been next to impossible to find in Germany. However, Naïv has an unbelievable selection! Also, Naïv is situated along the Main River. So, grab a pizza and some beers and find a sunny spot along the promenade to relax and enjoy!
Diavola Pizza
Berger Streetfood-Fusion Sushi- This trendy Asian fusion restaurant is ideally located on the bustling street of Berger Straße. I have tested my fair share of sushi in the past and must say, I was IMPRESSED. The fish is fresh, and the flavors are original, inventive, and delicious. Don't forget to pair your meal with the mint-infused lemonade for a refreshing drink.

Add on a dark roasted coffee mixed with creamy sweetened condensed milk for an added pick-me-up.
Storefront
Kleinmarkethalle- This vibrant markethalle is not only a great place to grab a bite to eat, but an attraction in and of itself. Immerse yourself in the full experience of it by wandering down the aisles that are lined with over 60 local vendors. You can purchase fresh meat, homegrown vegetables, abundant fruit, exotic spices, colorful flowers, local wine, and a variety of delicious prepared foods.
